About the Awards Program

The DRN Diversity Spirit Achievement Awards is a national awards program that recognizes individuals for their accomplishments and outstanding support of diversity in the workplace and community. The nomination criteria includes having vision and creativity, and helping to promote diversity on a national and global level. Winners will be announced at DRN’s 2010 National Conference and on Diversity Employment Day for most major cities.

Awards will be selected from nominations in the following four (4) categories: Corporate Achievement, Community Achievement, Goverment Achievement, Global Achievement

About the Judging Process

A panel of judges from the DRN leadership and the business community will make final determination of all awards. All information submitted is completely confidential.

All Nominations Must Include the Following:

1. Completed nomination form.
2. A nomination letter, not to exceed three pages of why this person is being nominated.
3. A color photo of the nominee
4. A brief biography of the nominee, not to exceed two pages
5. A concise statement of the qualities and performance that merit the award, not to exceed two pages
6. Any other supporting documentation deemed significant by the nominator including news clips, letters of recommendation, and other evidence of appropriateness of the nomination.
7. A letter of recommendation from a colleague, friend or member of the community.
